History

In 1970, when Friedl Bader took the backseat out of his VW Beetle, rented a small garage in Böckstein and with not a penny in his pocket made the first step towards self employment, he could not have imagined that he had laid the foundation stone for one of the largest  oven and tile companies in the Pongaus region. Neverthe less, for Friedl, one thing was always clear from the start as a defined direction. Top quality work from skilled craftsmen, individual solutions, outstanding service  coupled with friendly, helpful staff.

These ground rules have been adhered to by ‘boss’ and workers alike and over the years have built a broad basis of trust within the firm. This is only possible when our staff feel fully at home and  are able to give one hundred percent commitment to their work.

VW Beetle and the  garage are long things of the past. Friedl Bader took courage in both hands and moved into an industrial building in Böcksteiner Bundesstrasse, in the south of Bad Gastein. Alongside the work area there was also room for a large showroom.

The enthusiasm of the father infected his son, Christof. After completing his education at the ‘Skihandelschule’, he decide against a career as a professional skier and instead learnt the fascinating skill of buildings ‘ovens’ and fireplaces. At 25 he completed his ‘Master’ exams in Hafner and Tile laying.

Christof Bader returned to the family business in 1996 and was given large areas of responsibility from his father. He renovated  the Tiling area and it soon became common knowledge that the Bader company built, installed, and maintained individual, beautifully designed Fireplaces and Ovens. Since 2004 Christof has had full responsibility of the company. He now has 6 co-workers and educates 2 trainees.

Because of its rich history and quality assured work, the Christof Bader KG is now one of the biggest specialist companies in Pongau for the advice, planning and creation of exclusive tile laying , fireplaces .and Ovens
